Welcome to Buchan Primary School. Our beautiful school was established in 1877 on the side of the Buchan Valley. The school has a family atmosphere where children learn and play with friends of all ages whilst supporting and teaching one another. New families are always welcome to the township and a feeling of welcoming warmth is evident throughout our community.

TUBBS Grade 3/4 Karoonda Park Camp

  September 20th, 2025

On Wednesday the 10th of September, our Grade 3/4 students set off to Karoonda Park for an unforgettable three-day, two-night adventure. They were joined by friends from Swan Reach, Metung, and Nungurner Primary Schools. From the very beginning, students embraced the chance to connect, and staff noticed some of the strongest friendships yet forming across the schools. Activities kept everyone buzzing with excitement, whether soaring on the flying fox, scaling the climbing wall, or working together on the initiative course and low ropes. Horse riding was another highlight, giving many students a new skill to be proud of. A big thank you goes to the wonderful Karoonda Park staff who ensured the camp was safe, supportive, and full of fun - like always!!!
